If you live or go to school near a big city, chances are you have the option of getting a city pass. Whether it’s the 1-7 day Go City Card or the annual Pogo Pass, most big cities have passes that you can buy that give you access to some of the cities best tourist attractions for just the price of the pass.
When it comes to traveling and exploring, it’s important to understand that you don’t have to catch a flight to Europe to explore something new. When I moved to New England I was surprised to learn that many of my friends hadn’t ever done things that my family did in the area. Things that were an hour away that we made a point to explore, many of my friends had never done before.
A city pass is like the key to becoming a tourist in your own hometown. There are so many different city passes, and they all work a little differently. The Pogo Pass is an annual pass in Arizona, Nevada, Kansas, Montana, Texas, and Illinois. It gives you access to many different activities around the big cities that you may never have thought to do before. The Go City Card can be activated for up to 7 days and is available in many big cities around the country. With a lot of these city passes, you only have to take advantage of 2 or 3 of the activities before the pass has paid for itself. If you take advantage, it’s well worth the price.
Look into a city pass and explore the world that’s so close around you. Get out of your comfort zone and make some memories!
