A couple of weeks ago I got to spend five days in Miami, FL with my uncle and aunt! I got to explore South Beach, Dolphin Mall, and my personal favorite, Wynwood (aka the art district). If you’re in Miami, FL and you have any interest in pretty things, good coffee, and tiny pies, you have to go!
The art is the most important part of Wynwood. After all, it is the art district! When you go, don’t limit your visit to just “Wynwood Walls” the art gallery in the center. There is so much art all over the place! Walk the streets and get your fix. Wear a cute outfit and comfy shoes, there are tons of “insta-perfect” photo ops and a whole lot of walking.
Panther Coffee I had heard was a must go. The vibe of the coffee-shop is very hipster and chill, which I loved. The coffee wasn’t one-of-a-kind, but still really good coffee! It’s strong, so a small for me was perfect. A great mid-day stop to get out of the heat!

Pink Pie is a MUST STOP! Their pies are adorable and absolutely to die for. My uncle and I split one and it was the perfect amount. They’re small but they’re super-rich, so don’t go crazy! We had the oreo one and it was like eating Ben & Jerry’s Oreo ice cream in pie form. YUM!
Plan to spend a few hours here, there are tons of things to see and do! You will have to pay for parking, so try and plan out how long you want to spend so you know how much to put in the meter. Parking is mostly PaybyPhone so if you need to download the app before you go, make sure you do that! Many places have meters as well, but the app makes it all a little more convenient. I suggest stopping in lots of shops, they’re all unique and the AC feels great after walking outside. Many of the stores and restaurants also have art on the inside, so don’t be afraid to stop in and check it all out. I hope this helps, and you enjoy your trip! Tell me in the comments about your experiences at these places or others in the Wynwood area!
